The ECNH works together with a number of other federal committees in various areas:
Federal Administration
Responsibility for legislation and enforcement in the field of biotechnology and gene technology is divided among a number of different federal agencies, each of which is concerned with specific protection goals (environment, human health, Swiss agriculture, animal welfare). The ECNH is involved as an advisory body in legislative and authorization procedures.
